Last year around this same time we had a post here called Christmas Weddings. That post talked about how to have one and how to decorate for one. This time around, we want to talk about whether you should have one or not with a short list of pros and cons of a Christmas wedding.

Pros

  • Its probably going to be easy to get a lot of people together if you have the wedding in your hometown. Since its the one time of year when most people will go back to where they came from, if they still have family there, it may be easier to get people to come.
  • It makes it easier for some people to figure out what kind of gifts to give you, especially if youre registered somewhere.

These days, one can decide to get married pretty much anywhere, and something thats been growing in popularity is the concept of getting married during a cruise. There are many options that are afforded couples that decide to do something like this; lets take a look at some of them.

1. You can choose to either get married on the ship or one of the ports of call during the trip. Most cruise ships not only have multiple rooms of various sizes for a reception that they will let you use for a minimal addition to the cost of your cruise ticket, but every port that cruise ships go to offers some kind of wedding package that also wont cost much money.

With the unveiling of the new collections at bridal market less than two weeks ago, it’s evident you’re free to be any type of bride these days: simple, chic, over-the-top, bohemian, classic, sexy.

Modern one-shoulder gowns held up in popularity this time around, as well as short dresses. Color stayed, especially beige and black thanks much to Vera Wang, who presented NO white or ivory gowns this season.
