A wedding is a major production. Whether you’re hosting a wedding for thirty guests or 250 guests, the same decisions must be made and all the deadlines must be met. Whether you’re in the beginning steps of wedding planning or in the thick of it, hopefully you have found the key to successful wedding planning: Organization.

No matter your personality, no matter the overall time commitment, each bride can benefit from keeping all her ducks in a row. So this is our Sunday wisdom for you: be organized.

Checklists: Whether with planner or without, checklists will not only give you an idea of what needs to be done, and when, but will help you see on paper your progress. The Internet is chalk full of pre-made lists, or make a list that is more personalized to your wedding and needs.

3-Ring Binder: Have a binder handy for all of your clippings, contracts, inspiration, etc. Keep all wedding-related information in one place. Further organize with dividers, pocket folders, etc.

Excel: Use your computer’s spreadsheet program to further stay on top of things. Organize your seating chart, bridal gifts, etc. Use the Search option to further simplify things.
