Last year we wrote an article titled Go Extreme On Your Wedding Day, where we talked about people who found some extremely interesting ways to get married. Following up on that theme, we have found that there are many other couples who decide to get married in some strange places as opposed to going that extreme.
For instance, there was one couple that found an actual ghost town in California to get married in. It was a former Gold Rush city that was abandoned once the gold ran out, and it proved to be just the location for this couple and all of their guests to enjoy their wedding day.
There have been many couples that have found getting married at the zoo is a pleasant experience. Sometimes they get married in a separate room at the zoo, and some couples choose to take their vows near specific animal exhibits. Most zoos have places where large groups of people can get together for events such as a wedding reception and still have the option of going on a zoo tour either before or after the wedding. Frankly, I hope that none of these couples are getting married near the monkeys!
There are some couples look for haunted houses to get married in, taking their chances as to whether there will be a spiritual presence or not lurking about. Most of the time only the ceremony will take place there, and sometimes only on the outside of the residence, if they can’t get the wedding party or any of the people who are coming to go inside the house.
Couples also love getting married in the place where they met. That means some couples get married in bars and dance clubs, while others get married in their places of employment. One can imagine there being quite a difference in getting married in an office as opposed to getting married in a meat packing plant, but those types of things happen all the time.
And of course there are many stories of couples getting married in places where they both enjoy the activity, such as sports stadiums, restaurants, museums, and even local concerts. We’ve even seen couples getting married on television shows, and it always seems the host of the shows get a bigger kick out of it than the couples themselves.
All it takes is a little creativity and thought, and you can get married in a unique place that will make your wedding day memorable.
