One of our most popular travel posts of all time is this one about the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort which had transformed Ithaa, their underwater eatery, into an over-the-top suite for their five-year anniversary. Since there’s something undeniably intriguing about a night aquatic, I wanted to give you a heads-up about Sea, another under-the-depths dining spot (complete with a 6,500-bottle wine cellar), at the newly opened Anantara Kihavah Villas also in the Maldives.

Down we go:

The Maldives is known for its amazing sea life, so expect to see parrotfish, angelfish, and other Technicolor marine critters cruising by.

Villas here are to die for: As big as the average NYC apartment, they all have private pools, sunken tubs, and oversize beds, but they’re pretty steep (rates start at $1,170 a night gulp). One can always dream, right? Or doggy-paddle over from a neighboring resort just for dinner.
